Hello Everyone … Last weekend Perry and I were invited to go along to our friend’s little boy’s 1st Birthday party … I had done both their MATERNITY Pictures as well as Charlie’s NEWBORN photos too … and to be honest it hasn’t felt like a year has passed … he’s so big now and walking around its adorable to watch … anyways below is a selection of some of the pictures from his party …
I recently got in touch with Joelle … founder of Dubai’s first dedicated wedding blog … “My Lovely Wedding” … and after meeting for a coffee a couple weeks ago we’ve been keeping in touch … and a few days ago she asked if she could feature our Garden Wedding Party on the blog …
I was really happy that our trip to London coincided with one of my best friends birthdays … it was literally the day after we landed and was the first time I saw most of my friends since getting back … It was a really relaxed afternoon/evening with Laura (The Birthday Girl) hosting the party in her backgarden as a late summer picnic … with her other half James cooking up a storm on the BBQ …
Have I ever told you how much I love disposable cameras? A couple years ago I rediscovered my love of these cameras and started carrying one with me when I went on holidays as well as my DSLR … whilst it was great to see the photos on the little LCD screen on the back of my camera and know that I had gotten the shot I was going for … that the exposure was right, composition, etc … there was none of the mystery that you get with film … not knowing what the final image will look like till its back from being developed at the lab …
Back in March I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Salma and Richard in Dubai … they had a simple ceremony on a Saturday afternoon down at the Sheraton Hotel along JBR by the beach … it was a beautiful day and not too hot yet … the ceremony started abit late and I was worried about the rapidly fading light … especially as we wanted to get their couples photos down by the water before the sunset … in the end everything worked out really well … the light held on just long enough … and everyone had a great time that evening …

So Perry & I have just gotten back from our holiday and we have some big news to share with all our family and friends … and we figured this would be the best/quickest way to tell everyone together. We decided that whilst we were in Thailand we would also go ahead and Get Married … and thats exactly what we did … the week away also doubled up as our honeymoon too …
