Only three weeks left now till we come home … time is flying by … we still have so much to sort out I’m starting to get abit nervous about it … I know it will all be ok in the end … the shorter working days are useful as were able to get more stuff done during the week …
Hello Everyone … This weekend was abit of a bust … didnt really do much … after getting back from the early morning photography trip I slept most of the day … managed to find some strong painkillers and my back had eased up enough so I could go out for Chinese that night with friends … But then it was quite tense on Saturday and spent most of the day resting it … I felt ok enough in the evening to go out … and since we had no food we decided to head to the mall for dinner …
Ramadan is coming up in the next few days … its expected to start on the 20th July this year … its also going to be particularly tough as well due to the timing as it’s fallen in the peak summer months … Anyway I was looking into some sources about ramadan and how it affects daily life in the UAE … Now I know about ramadan, what it is, what it stands for, all of that side of things … but not having lived in an islamic country before I wasn’t completely aware of how the rules would be enforced here … After having done some research I thought I’d pull together what I’ve found out here in a little blog post … some of you who live in Dubai/UAE may find this useful … for others you may just find this interesting …
