Around Reykjavik … Iceland December 2015

_MG_6728-1Hey everyone … so I’m finally getting round to posting some photos from our recent trip to Iceland … it took me some time to go through and narrow down the pictures … and even so there are still a lot to go through … This post will be all the photos from our time in Reykjavik and a couple other places that didn’t necessarily fit in other places … I will keep the writing to a minimum and let the photos do the talking for the most part …

Enjoy …

It was quite chilly and I was very happy to have all my knitwear to keep me warm …

This store and a few others we saw were selling these candles shaped like animals … but when you light them and the wax mets away you are left with a skeleton on the inside … which I thought was quite funny …

Some of the buildings have really interesting graffiti and art on them …

The Metal Designs store is where Perry got his wedding band from when we were here last year … and the cafe next to it does some pretty good hot drinks …

Spotted some knitting related graffiti …

_MG_7342-1 The first knitting shop I popped into was the one belonging to the Hand Knitting Association of Iceland … I really like their stuff …

I then headed to a second yarn store nearby that I knew of from our trip last year … I didn’t actually end up buying any yarn at this place as most of their stock is imported yarns I can find elsewhere … I did however pick up some Reindeer Antler buttons …

One evening as we were driving back to Reykjavik from the Blue Lagoon we got lucky and managed to spot the Northern Lights … Perry actually noticed them first and we eventually were able to pull over somewhere to take a few pictures before they disappeared …
