Knitting Adventures … Ribbed Collar Bolero & A Market Bag …

_MG_7890-1Hey everyone … so welcome back to another knitting related post … only have a couple things to share today but I have actually got a few more things finished just need to photograph them … so for now its just these two … _MG_7939-1First up is this MARKET BAG … it was relatively simple to make … the stitch pattern was a little confusing at times and occasionally I’d end up with an extra stitch or two at the end of a row which was annoying but thankfully the pattern is busy enough that it doesn’t show up the little mistakes … _MG_7943-1It’s quite forgiving like that … in the end its turned out to be a nice sized little bag … _MG_7957-1 _MG_7983-1Next up I made this knittend BOLERO … I’d gotten some Lion Brand Homespun yarn while we were in the states and its so soft and squishy … this Bolero is super comfy and warm too … I’ve actually been wearing it at home if the AC gets too cold sometimes … _MG_7886-1 _MG_7986-1 _MG_7890-1It was really simple to make … its basically just a rectangle that you knit … fold over and seam the edges leaving a hole for the arms … doesn’t get any simpler than that really … _MG_7884-1I love the rich colour and texture of the yarn too … _MG_7996-1Its actually quite a tough yarn to knit with … I probably need to use blunter needles next time I use this yarn because the ones I used kept splitting the stitches … mostly cause of the way the yarn is woven it makes it more prone to that happening … Anyway that is it for this post … Till next time … Mina X
