Hong Kong … Lantau Island – Tai O Village …

Hey everyone … so in my last post about our trip to Hong Kong I talked about our trip to the NGONG PING village on Lantau Island … while we were there we also caught a bus to Tai O an old fishing village on the coast of Lantau … its quite a picturesque little fishing village by the water with a large proportion of traditional wooden homes built on stilts coming out over the water … _MG_5165-1 _MG_5159-1We went for a little wander through the market in the village which sold mostly seafood products … dried seafood was quite a popular thing …

_MG_5163-1 _MG_5164-1We even spotted this full sized dried shark skin behind one of the stalls …

_MG_5289-1We wandered around a little more before boarding a boat trip to see the village from the water …

_MG_5291-1 _MG_5284-1 _MG_5283-1 _MG_5287-1We came across some of the local cats …

_MG_5312-1 _MG_5316-1Can you spot the little guy sleeping on the balcony …

_MG_5319-1 _MG_5309-1We eventually wandered our way around … past a little temple …

_MG_5331-1 _MG_5297-1 _MG_5293-1Before heading back to the bus and Ngong Ping for the rest of the afternoon …
