Dubai Mall & Burj Khalifa At Sunset … At The Top …

So last week when Harri was here we spent a day at the Dubai Mall … wandered around the area … Had lunch … went up the Burj Khalifa and also had dinner at Souk Al Bahar next door to the Mall … it was a great day out and we did so many different things by the time we got home we were both knackered from all the wandering around … but in a good satisfying way …

We got to the mall and entered via the Fashion avenue …

_MG_2163-1 _MG_2194-1We left Perry in a coffee shop to get on with his things before Harri and I went for a wander around the Burj lake and Souk Al Bahar …

_MG_2307-1 _MG_2309-1 _MG_2313-1 _MG_2321-1 _MG_2341-1Once we got back into the mall we stumbled across this new Italian Deli/Restaurant … I loved it and I’m totally going to be dragging Perry back here to try their food soon … I picked up some Pasta Flour too while we were there …

_MG_2347-1 _MG_2350-1Check out the mega long tubes of pasta above … the tag called them Candle Pasta … and the cute little Olive tree below …

_MG_2351-1 _MG_2352-1 _MG_2353-1 _MG_2354-1They even make their own fresh mozzarella on site …

_MG_2357-1 _MG_2359-1 _MG_2360-1 _MG_2362-1We started to get into the Christmas spirit checking out the Decorations in stores …

_MG_2364-1 _MG_2367-1 _MG_2371-1And even stopped for a Starbucks Coffee with Red Cup … Harri was quite excited by this!

_MG_2381-1It got close to our time slot for the Burj Khalifa so we headed over and made our way up … in time to watch the sunset over Dubai …

_MG_2549-1 _MG_2552-1 _MG_2558-1 _MG_2566-1 _MG_2593-1 _MG_2612-1 _MG_2627-1Once we caught up with Perry again we headed back over to the Souk Al Bahar and to the Claw BBQ restaurant … I’d heard quite a bit about this place since it opened and had been wanting to try it out for a while now …

_MG_2659-1 _MG_2662-1 _MG_2663-1 _MG_2667-1 _MG_2668-1Harri and I shared a giant frozen Daquari … this thing was HUGE!

_MG_2676-1 _MG_2678-1

The Guacamole and Nachos were really good too …

_MG_2681-1The place even had its own Bucking Bronko Bull ride thing … none of us were brave enough (or wearing appropriate clothing) to give it a go this time …

_MG_2688-1The food was pretty good too …

_MG_2683-1 _MG_2685-1 _MG_2691-1We headed home … full of good food and with tired feet …

The quote for the day and probably for the whole of that week came from a store manager at Bloomingdales … we were walking past him and a number of floor staff when we overheard the manager tell the others rather loudly “I want all the sparkles at the same time” … it was the only part of the conversation we heard and it made us chuckle for the rest of the week …

That is it for this one … I have one more post from Harri’s time in Dubai which I’ll post on Friday …

Till next time …
