Brunch At Mina A’Salam … Sunshine & Friends …

So after a quick trip to the Airport and picking up Harri in the small hours of the morning … we got back home and managed to get a few more hours of sleep before waking up in the morning … we got ready and headed over to the hotel … met up with our friends Paul, Sarah and their neighbours Veronica and Paul (yes another one) …

So we were set up at a table in the Zeng He’s chinese restaurant and after the first glass of bubbly we were ready to hit the food …

_MG_1185-1 _MG_1188-1 _MG_1125-1The hotel has a turtle conservation and rehabilitation centre which we could see as we walked from one restaurant to another … they look so adorable …

_MG_1115-1 _MG_1123-1 _MG_1131-1 _MG_1135-1We had great views of the Burj Al Arab from around the brunch venue …

_MG_1136-1There was so much food … and it was all so yummy …

_MG_1138-1 _MG_1140-1 _MG_1143-1 _MG_1149-1Harri spotted fishies in the water …

_MG_1144-1 _MG_1146-1We stopped to grab some cocktails on our way back to our table … Harri went for the Pina Colada and I had a Mojito … which turned out to be one of the favourites on our table that day …

_MG_1150-1 _MG_1152-1A few from around our table …

_MG_1164-1 _MG_1166-1 _MG_1167-1 _MG_1169-1The Pork room was a source of a lot of yummy food …

_MG_1173-1 _MG_1174-1 _MG_1179-1 _MG_1177-1 _MG_1181-1A few more bits and pieces …

_MG_1234-1Paul managed to get chocolate on his shirt …

_MG_1241-1 _MG_1244-1 _MG_1246-1 _MG_1252-1Paul also got quite animated when he was telling us a story … I’m not sure what he was talking about at this point …

_MG_1249-1 _MG_1257-1 _MG_1258-1 _MG_1259-1 _MG_1260-1 _MG_1263-1It was also quite funny as the guys were all colour coordinated in different shades of light blue … Sarah and Veronica were both wearing a really pretty shade of coral which also happened to match Harri’s cardigan … I don’t think we could have done it any better if we had planned it …

_MG_1265-1 _MG_1273-1 _MG_1274-1 _MG_1277-1After Brunch we headed to the upstairs bar for a couple more drinks, more chat and to watch the sunset … we headed home not long after … it was a lovely day out and we had so much fun … it really is one of my favourite Brunch’s in Dubai …

  3. Hi Mina – came across your blog looking at brunch options in Dubai and it really is great – I’ve narrowed it down to Al Qasr and Saffron brunch (but have been to Al Qasr once before) so the decider has to be the desserts as I have a major sweet tooth! Do you think Saffron matches up to Al Qasr?? Cupcake bar, waffle station and ice cream parlour was great but party atmosphere of Saffron is appealing 🙂 Hope to hear from you! xx

    • Hi Caroline… I haven’t been to the Al qasr brunch before so I can’t really compare… But saffron didn’t disappoint as far deserts were concerned… Lots of options including freshly made while you wait pancakes… Ice cream… Chocolate fountains and all the other sweet treats… Its usually my favourite part of a brunch… I’d definently say give it a go… Hope this helps 🙂 either way I’m sure you’ll have a great time at both…

      • Ahh just realised this post is the one next door to al qasr I think 🙂 ok great thanks – I think it will be good to go for something different, 10 days til we fly, can’t wait!!
