The Boy’s Last Day In Dubai … Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall & The Beach …

Ok so here it is … the final update from Mike and Adam’s weekend in Dubai … I told you we did alot … anyway … this is the last of what we got up to … We spent the day at Dubai Mall … the guys had booked tickets to go up the Burj Khalifa … and so we decided to make a day of it and had some lunch at the Cheesecake Factory while we were at it …

In the afternoon on our way home we stopped by the beach near Umm Suqeim and the Burj Al Arab for a few photos before the sunset … as we were unable (and didnt have the time) to organise going to the Burj Al Arab itself while the guys were here … we got them as close as we could for some pictures before they left … (you cant get close enough to the building without having a reservation) …

So after the waterfall Perry left us to go see the Dr … as he was still feeling unwell I convinced him to go to the medical clinic at the Mall … so while he went off to get checked out I took the guys outside for the obligatory photo with the Burj Khalifa …

Following this I took them over the bridge and to the Souk Al Bahar … we wandered around inside for a bit and then walked all the way round the outside … parts of which I hadn’t even been to before myself …

We had just made our way back into the mall and were wandering round the newly opened Shoe District when Perry called to say he was done … so we caught up with him outside by the fountains …

The guys then went off to go up the Burj Khalifa … and Perry and I wandered round the mall abit aimlessly … killing time till they came back down to join us for lunch …

You can see on the back of my right leg where I’ve been bitten by a mosquito … it was very itchy and painful …

My lunch … I thought I’d go for something small … like a sandwhich … turns out even one of those is massive at the Cheesecake factory … had to take half of it home … We all ended up getting our cheesecakes to go … there was just so much food …

Ok … well that pretty much wraps up our long weekend with Mike and Adam … it was good fun … and the kittens got on with the guys really well … Derek wasn’t at all afraid of them from the get go … hoping this means he’s getting better around strangers … after the mass of people we’ve had staying with us over the last few weeks I’m hoping this has helped him get used to new people …

Anyways … stay tuned for more updates on what else we’ve been up to and other stuff we have coming up …

Till next time …
