A Mixed Bag … Baker & Spice … Mall Of The Emirates … & The Observatory

This last weekend has been hectic … busy … and lots of fun all rolled into four days … We had a couple of Perry’s friends … Mike & Adam … over to stay with us … so much was done but for this post I’ll start with their first day here …

On Thursday morning Perry and I went to pick the boys up from the airport … they came out pretty quick through security … although as we were on our way to the car Adam realised he’d left his duty free bag by the luggage carousel … he eventually got back in to the baggage reclaim area with security and was lucky enough to find it still sat there …

Once we got home we turned round and headed down to Baker and Spice for some late breakfast with the guys …

After some food we headed on down to Mall of the Emirates to show the guys round abit … and we needed to pick up a couple things while we were there … they were quite tired from their overnight flight but soon perked up when we stopped for some Cold Stone Ice Cream …

Adam went for candy floss blue flavoured ice cream …

After ice cream we wandered round abit more and even contemplated going to Ski Dubai at one point …

But the guys were pretty tired … the jet lag and lack of sleep was quickly catching up with them … so we dropped them back at the flat and let them nap abit while Perry and I ran a few errands … later in the afternoon we all got ready and headed out to the Observatory at the Marriot Hotel for drinks in the bar and to watch the sunset …

The Infinity Tower … this thing twists in ways it really looks like it shouldn’t …

After a few drinks at the bar we walked on down to JBR along the beach and found a restaurant along there to go for food … we had a great day with the guys … and suitably stuffed with food and drink we headed back to the flat to get some sleep before Brunch on the Friday …

But thats for another post …

Thanks for tuning in …

Till next time …
