Dubai Mall & The Cheesecake Factory …

Saturday last week we took Perry’s parents to the Dubai Mall for the first time … we headed over relatively early in the day to beat the weekend crowds of people … which turned out to be a great idea … its always more pleasent going to the mall early on the weekends …

After filling up on some coffee to start wtih … we did all the usual stops … the Burj Khalifa, the waterfall, the aquarium, as well as popping into a couple shops here and there for a browse … we pretty much walked the whole way round the ground floor and parts of the upper floors by the time we were done wandering …

The festive Cups and Napkins are out in full force at Caribou Coffee …

This life sized Glass/Crystal skull thing was in Bloomingdales selling for 33,000 AED (5,600 Pounds Sterling) … I mean seriously???

We headed over to the Cheesecake Factory for some lunch … by this time we’d worked up a pretty good apetite and had alot of food … I ordered a salad but was only able to finish half taking the rest home … everyone else managed to finish of their burgers and we all had Cheesecake to round off the meal …

Patrick’s Burger, chips, onion rings and milk shake lunch …My rather enormous mountains of salad …Perry and Pat ordered the same Cheeseburget and sweet potato fries …I forgot to take pictures of the cheesecakes we’d ordered but to get an idea of what they look like you can see some pictures of them HERE

By this time we were all stuffed … So we left Perry’s parents at the Aquarium to go inside and have a look while we slipped off to go get my HAIRCUT in DIFC which is round the corner from the mall …

By the time we got back we found Pat and Patrick at another coffee shop … and we were all pretty knackered by this point … we got home about 6-7pmish and just lounged around the flat … we did have plans to go out again that evening but everyone was still so full from lunch we didn’t really want to move … we didn’t even have dinner (except I finished my salad) …

It was a good day all in all … if not abit indulgent on the food side! … We’re getting ready to go off to another brunch with Mike and Adam … its the our 3rd brunch in 4 weeks … we cant keep this up for much longer … I don’t think our waistlines will be able to handle it for much longer … will update more later …

Till next time …
